Goodbye to Our Leavers of 2026 🎓💛

You came to Fun Box at two or three,

So small, so curious, and eager to be

Part of the games, the stories and fun,

Not quite knowing what had begun.

Some walked in bravely, ready to play,

While others needed a hand that first day.

But slowly, with kindness, patience and care,

Fun Box became a place you were happy to share.

You grew in our Preschool Room day by day,

Learning through stories, laughter and play.

You painted and counted, built towers up high,

And asked many questions beginning with “Why?”

You sang all the songs and danced to the beat,

Made models with boxes and pictures so sweet.

There was glitter and glue, and paint on each hand,

And creations your teachers did not always quite understand!

Out in the garden, you climbed and explored,

Raced with your friends and were rarely bored.

You splashed in the water, dug deep in the sand,

And discovered the world with a friend by your hand.

Those friendships grew stronger as each year went by,

Through games, shared adventures and comforting cries.

You learned how to listen, to help and to share,

To notice when someone else needed your care.

We watched you grow confident, capable and strong,

Finding your voice and learning where you belong.

From those tiny children of two or three,

You became the wonderful people we now proudly see.

Then came your last day, with music and cheer,

A party to celebrate your final year.

We played musical games and danced round the room,

While plates full of party food vanished quite soon!

You sang to your families, proud and standing tall,

While some of the grown-ups tried not to cry at all.

We smiled and applauded, though deep down we knew

That soon it would be time to say goodbye to you.

Your teachers will miss all the things that you do:

Your stories, your laughter, and simply being you.

We will miss seeing your faces each day,

And hearing the wonderful things that you say.

But now big school is calling; your next chapter is here,

With new friends to meet and new teachers to cheer.

There will be new classrooms, new stories and games,

New adventures to follow and new faces and names.

Be brave when things feel unfamiliar or new,

Keep asking questions, as you always do.

Be thoughtful and curious, courageous and kind,

And always be proud of your wonderful mind.

Although you are leaving our Preschool Room,

The memories you made here will continue to bloom.

In photographs, friendships, stories and art,

Each one of you leaves a mark on our heart.

So goodbye, dear leavers, go flourish and grow.

There is so much ahead for you still to know.

We wish you the best as you head on your way,

And hope you remember your Fun Box days.

Your big-school adventure is ready to start.

Take all that you have learned, with courage at heart.

We will miss you enormously, more than you know,

But we are so proud to watch you all go. 💛
