As the autumn leaves began to fall, the air at Fun Box filled with excitement — pumpkins, giggles, and the warm glow of creativity. This week, our children have been exploring the magic of Halloween in true Fun Box style: through play, imagination, and togetherness. 🧡

🎨 Pumpkin Play for Our Little Explorers

Our youngest children have been discovering the wonder of real pumpkins — feeling their bumpy textures, noticing the different shades of orange, and comparing shapes and sizes. These rich, hands-on experiences are at the heart of early learning, helping to develop:

• Curiosity and exploration through heuristic play

• Fine and gross motor skills

• Sensory awareness and coordination

They also created their own bright and cheerful pumpkin pictures using paint sticks — a perfect, mess-free way to express creativity and strengthen early mark-making skills.

🧠 Preschool Adventures: Learning Through Play

Our preschoolers took their pumpkin play even further with a series of fun and purposeful activities:

• Pumpkin Sorting – discovering size, shape, and order while building early mathematical understanding.

• Pumpkin Skittles – rolling pumpkins like bowling balls to develop coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.

• “Name a Friend” Game – gently rolling a pumpkin to a friend and saying their name, helping to build language, social confidence, and peer connections.

• Balloon Parachute Game – a room full of laughter as Halloween-themed balloons danced through the air, bringing teamwork and joy to life.
