Mother’s Day 2026 at Fun Box Day Nursery was celebrated with a special stay and play, cream tea and spring activities including planting, sensory play and outdoor learning.

This week, we celebrated Valentine’s Day at Nursery by making cards, exploring sensory activities, mixing colours, and talking about who we love. Through creative play and meaningful discussions, children developed fine motor skills, emotional understanding, and confidence in line with the EYFS.

festive week of Christmas crafts, sensory play and shared moments — all approached with focus, enthusiasm and the familiar promise of “just a little glitter.” From reindeer food and pine cone trees to sensory trays and a visit from Mrs Santa, the children explored creativity wholeheartedly, leaving behind full folders, proud smiles… and a sparkle that travelled far beyond the craft table.
