Another busy week at Fun Box Day Nursery
Food Tasting
Itās been another action-packed week at Fun Box Day Nursery, with plenty of learning, laughter, and hands-on experiences! Following last weekās theme, we continued our celebrations for the Year of the SnakeĀ with some adventurous food tasting. The children had the opportunity to explore new flavours and textures, trying out unique vegetables such as water chestnuts, beansprouts, and bamboo shoots. Of course, the biggest hits were the ever-popular noodles, egg fried rice, and prawn crackers! š„¢š
Fine Motor Fun
Our fine motor skills practice took a fun (and slightly messy!) turn with a noodle challenge in our sensory tray. Using chopsticks, the children worked on their hand-eye coordinationĀ by picking up and transferring colourful noodlesāan engaging way to build dexterity while having lots of fun!
Worm Hunting in the Garden
Out in the garden, our young explorers put their skills to the test once again, this time with a wriggly worm huntĀ in the compost trays. But donāt worryāno real worms were harmed! Instead, we used coloured spaghettiĀ as a safe and playful substitute. Equipped with tweezers, the children carefully picked them up, further developing their fine motor precisionĀ while enjoying a sensory-rich experience. š±š
Creative Bubble Painting
Meanwhile, our creative corner was buzzing with excitement. Lately, the children have been fascinated by toolsāhammers in particular! So when we were given a huge roll of bubble wrap, our brilliant deputy Lena came up with a fantastic idea: bubble wrap painting! šØ Armed with hammers, paint, and boundless enthusiasm, the children explored colours, textures, and cause-and-effect while creating their own unique artwork.
Itās been a truly wonderful week filled with new experiences, skill-building, and plenty of giggles. We canāt wait to see what next week brings! Stay tuned for more adventures at Fun Box Day Nursery. š
