This week’s winter learning in early years focused on care, creativity and exploration. Children explored winter clothing, health routines, emotions and Arctic themes through sensory play, art, ice experiments and hands-on learning. These experiences supported the EYFS, strengthening fine motor skills, early maths, communication and understanding of the world.

❄️ Winter Activities in Early Years: Learning Through Cold, Curiosity and Play ❄️
Our first week back after the Christmas holidays was filled with meaningful winter activities in early years. From snowy sensory trays and Arctic animals to hot chocolate role play and indoor ice skating, children explored winter through play, conversation and creativity. Each experience supported the EYFS, developing communication, physical skills and understanding of the world in a warm, engaging way.
